Biography

David Robinson

David enjoyed a long executive career as an actuary, culminating in being the founder and CEO of life insurer, Bright Grey, backed by Royal London. Since retiring, David has held a number of non-executive roles, including being Chair of insurer, Engage Mutual, and a Governor and Audit and Risk Committee Chair of Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He was also the founding Chair of Trustees of the charity, Smalls for All. As of January 2023, David has been Chair of the UK Board.

He is a Trustee of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee chair of IMPRESS, the UK’s first independent press regulator.
